Join us for a fun afternoon of fishing, camaraderie, and community out at YMCA Camp Cormorant as we take local Veterans from Fargo and Fergus Falls out fishing! This fun and impactful event is held annually at YMCA Camp Cormorant. This year's Fishing Outing will be held on Wednesday, June 4th from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm. With the help of volunteers from the FM Walleyes and FM Muskies, Veterans will go fishing out on the lake from 3:30 until 6:00 pm followed by dinner. Dinner is free for all participants and volunteers.

This volunteer opportunity takes place at our YMCA Camp Cormorant, which is on the shore of Big Cormorant Lake. We do ask volunteers to practice safety around water and if volunteers do go out on the lake with Veterans, to wear lifejackets. Volunteers may be asked to lift up or carry items as part of setup and tear down, safe lifting practices are required. If volunteers are not comfortable lifting or being around water, simply let us know and we can make accommodations.
